Beginner Projects
Prerequisites: Level 1 — Beginner
Build these on your own using what you learned in Level 1. Each one uses document structure, headings, text, links, images, lists, and semantic layout. Check every page with the Nu Html Checker before you call it done.
1. Personal Profile Page
A single page about you (or a fictional person): a heading, a photo with
good alt text, a short bio, a list of hobbies, and links to your
favorite websites. Use header, main, and footer.
2. Recipe Page
A recipe with a title, an image, an ingredients list (ul), numbered
steps (ol), a preparation-time table, and a description list for
nutrition facts.
3. Three-Page Website
A tiny site with index.html, about.html, and contact.html, each
sharing the same header and nav menu with relative links, and a contact
form with a name, email, message, and a submit button.
4. Event Schedule
A conference schedule as a table with a caption, header cells for the
time and room columns, and links from each talk to a section further down
the page (fragment links with ids).
5. Media Gallery
A page with several figures (image + figcaption), one embedded video
with controls, and one audio clip — each with fallback text.
