Intermediate Projects
Prerequisites: Level 2 — Intermediate
Build these using classes, interfaces, collections, LINQ, exceptions, files, and events from Level 2.
1. Library Management System
Write Book and Member classes and a Library class that lends and
returns books, rejects invalid operations with exceptions, and saves its
data to a CSV file between runs. Use LINQ to list overdue books.
2. Expense Tracker
Record expenses (date, category, amount) in a List(Of Expense), then use
LINQ Group By to print totals per category and per month. Import and
export the data as JSON with System.Text.Json.
3. Shape Hierarchy
Create an abstract Shape class (MustInherit) with Circle,
Rectangle, and Triangle subclasses that override Area and
Perimeter, implement IComparable(Of Shape), and print the shapes sorted
by area.
4. Stock Price Alerts
Build a Stock class that raises a PriceChanged event, and subscribers
that log every change or warn when a price moves more than 5 percent.
Feed it prices from a text file.
