Beginner Projects
Prerequisites: Level 1 — Beginner
Build these on your own using what you learned in Level 1. Each one uses lists, functions, pure functions, strings, and plots.
1. Prime Explorer
List the first 100 primes, find the gaps between consecutive primes with
Differences, report the largest gap and where it occurs, and plot the gaps
with ListPlot.
2. Unit Price Table
Given a list of products with prices and package sizes, compute the price per
unit, sort from cheapest to most expensive, and print a formatted table with
Grid or TableForm.
3. Word Statistics
Take a paragraph of text, split it into words with TextWords, and report
the number of words, the average word length, the longest word, and the ten
most common words.
4. Function Gallery
Define five functions of your choice (a polynomial, a trigonometric function,
an exponential, and so on) and plot them together with a legend, then plot
each one separately in a grid with GraphicsGrid.
