Intermediate Projects
Prerequisites: Level 2 — Intermediate
Build these using file import, loops, arrays, functions, merges, BY groups, and the reporting procedures from Level 2.
1. Sales Dashboard Tables
Generate a CSV of fake sales with the
Random CSV Generator (date, region, product,
amount), import it with PROC IMPORT, add month and quarter variables with
date functions, and produce totals per region and month with PROC MEANS,
PROC FREQ, and a final PROC REPORT table.
2. Survey Cleaner
Read survey answers where questions q1–q10 use codes 1–5 and 9 for
"no answer". Use an array to turn every 9 into a missing value, count the
answered questions per person, and summarize each question.
3. Customer Orders Merge
Keep customers and orders in two data sets. Match-merge them by customer ID,
list customers with no orders and orders with unknown customers (with IN=
flags), and compute each customer's first order date, last order date, and
total spent with FIRST. and LAST.. Then write the same summary in
PROC SQL and check that the results agree.
