Prerequisites: Level 3 — Advanced
Build these using OOP, Composer, PDO, and framework knowledge from Level 3.
1. Task Queue Worker
Build a simple job queue backed by a database table (jobs with a
payload and status column). A separate long-running PHP script polls
for pending jobs, processes them (e.g. sends a simulated email), and
marks them complete — without a framework.
2. Laravel or Symfony REST API
Rebuild the Level 2 REST API project using Laravel or Symfony instead of plain PHP — routing, an ORM/repository for persistence, and a PHPUnit test suite covering at least the core endpoints.
3. Reusable Composer Package
Extract a small piece of standalone logic (a validator, a formatter) into
its own PSR-4 package with its own composer.json, PHPUnit tests, and a
tagged GitHub release — installable via composer require from a
separate test project.
