Installing PHP
This course uses PHP 8.4, the current stable release. Download it
from php.net or via a package manager
(apt install php, brew install php), or use a bundle like XAMPP/
Laragon on Windows that includes PHP alongside a database and web
server.
php --version
Confirm the version reports 8.x before continuing.
