Advanced Debugging

Prerequisites: Debugging TypeScript

When a type error is hard to understand, hovering over a type in your editor (rather than just reading the error message) often reveals exactly what TypeScript inferred at that point — especially useful for generic-heavy code where the actual resolved type isn't obvious from the source alone.

For genuinely confusing inferred types, temporarily assigning the expression to an intermediate variable and hovering over that narrows down exactly which step introduced an unexpected type.
