Compiling TypeScript with tsc

Prerequisites: Your first TypeScript program

tsc --init generates a tsconfig.json file, which controls how the compiler behaves for an entire project instead of one file at a time.

tsc --init
tsc

With a tsconfig.json present, running tsc alone (no filename) compiles every .ts file the config includes. tsc --watch recompiles automatically every time you save.
